THE PLAN:
Spreading the Technological Knowledge:
We are planning a trip through Central America in January 2012 to introduce our smokeless stove solution to organizations currently working in these countries. Our solution is specific to those who are currently cooking on three-rock fires. Our goal is to introduce our invention to organizations so they can bring an effective and sustainable solution to the communities in need. If you know of any organizations working in Central America who could benefit from this technology, please contact us and let us know.
OUR STRATEGY:
We are actively inviting organizations in each interested country to participate in training sessions for the stove molds. Those who attend will be able to take a mold back to the villages where they can train the people in the communities in which they work. Hence, train the trainers. This will minimize our time and costs to get the stove initiative started in each country using local personnel resources.
HOW WILL WE BE GOING:
We will be transporting the molds in my truck or a Red Cross Land Cruiser and staying in low budget hotels.
WHO WILL BE GOING:
Steve Bliss (CS founder) and James Purcell ( a former CS volunteer). We will begin our trip in Western Panama where CS is based. James will be flying in from the states where he currently resides.
ESTIMATED TRIP COSTS:
The trip cost in exact detail is yet to be determined but a quick budget estimate is around $6,000.00 (Travel, Food, Fuel, Hotels, Border Expenses, Enticements, Manuals etc).
If you would like to be a part of taking our stove solution to organizations around the world, starting with Central America, please donate!
